"In the glass, a calibrated vintage 2007 Vacqueyras from Domain Montirius but now vTintage 2009. Grapes are Grenache and Syrah in same shares.
Exactly as last time, when we opened the bottle the cork was wet but as last time the wine have survived. The initial bad smell disappears very quickly and we notice dark berries, nutmeg, liquorices, nettles and chalky minerals, we notice a sweetfruty mouth with a lovely length where the generous alcohol of 15% doesn't destroy the wine. The tannins are smooth with a note of seeds. It is a very nice wine that we can enjoy young but it will get better after a couple of years."
